New Job

I used to mainly work at an old folks home and work two hour shifts. Now I'm a new employee of Outback Steakhouse. Its much more my speed and my kind of work. I get 3% tips from everyones paycheck, this may seem like a small amount but I worked for 4 hours and got 23 dollars in tips.....I'm working tonight maybe I'll make more than that!

Qualified for States

My team needs 10 wins to qualify for states and today was our 10th win, were now 10-4 and we still have 5 more matches. Like I said before its my senior year and doing well at states would be a satisfying end to my high school season.

My tennis season

I'm doing pretty well in my senior year. I'm playing doubles with a good friend of mine and were doing really well as a team. Our record so far is 9 and 4. We need 10 wins to make states. Maybe if I'm lucky I can get some kind of scholarship for playing tennis. I've only been playing for three years but you could say I've come a long way. Sadly I wont be playing in college so this is going to be my final year playing competitive tennis!

Tennis controversy for the French Open

Recently, Novak Djokovic of Serbia has beaten Rafael Nadal ( the king of clay) on his own turf, and not to mention in his own country! I admit, Nadal is a gifted athlete but based on Novaks recent progress and perfect record of 37 and 0, he will give Rafa some real trouble in France. When I watch Nadal playing a match on clay, I expect a smooth victory, with his excellent footwork, massive amounts of spin, and pure talent. Sadly, times in the tennis world are changing. One of my favorite players is Roger Federer. He and I both have a one handed backhands, use the same racquet, and have similar playing styles. For the past two years, I've seen the slow decline of the maestro's thunder. Hes not as sharp as he used to be. I feel like hes getting lazy with his feet, his backhand isn't penatrating, etc. He said he wont retire until he has won at least four more majors. I doubt hell get to the semis of any of them. Don't get me wrong, hes going to fly past the easier rounds with qualifiers and unseeded players, but when he plays the top ten, its a different story. In my opinion, Feds chances of winning the french ever again are slim to none. His best bet would be Wimbledon, and the U.S Open. Besides Djokovic, I cant really think of any other threats to Nadal. Maybe Soderling will pull off another underdog victory. Well see in a couple weeks!
